The problem
Heathen is a Warsaw boutique for authenticated designer resale — Acne, The Row, and similar. The store ran on Magento, and it was leaking sales: pages were slow, images were heavy and unoptimised, products and variants were unreliable, and cart, checkout, and payment methods kept failing. A high-AOV buyer will not wait on a broken Magento checkout.
- Speed — Magento pages were too slow to carry a luxury catalog
- Images — unoptimised assets dragging every product page
- Products and variants — options and inventory were unreliable
- Cart and checkout — the path to pay was breaking orders
- Payments — methods failing or incomplete at checkout
What we built
We migrated Heathen from Magento to Shopify: catalog, variants, and customers onto a new storefront. Images were rebuilt for the web. Cart, checkout, and payment methods were re-wired on Shopify Checkout so a designer piece can complete as an order — then the theme was cut for editorial resale, not a Magento leftover.
- Full Magento → Shopify migration (catalog, variants, customers)
- Image pipeline rebuilt so PDPs are no longer carrying oversized assets
- Shopify cart, checkout, and payment methods replacing the Magento failures
- Storefront themed for luxury resale, not a platform default
The result
heathen.store is live on Shopify. Magento is retired. The boutique can merchandize authenticated pieces without the speed, variant, and checkout failures that were blocking the old stack.
